Clinical Professor

Dr. Quisenberry is Clinical Professor at Texas Woman's University (TWU) in Denton, Texas. Her educational training history is demonstrated by the degree achievements throughout her nursing journey as listed below. Dr. Quisenberry's nursing experience spans over 2 1/2 decades and includes ICU/CCU nursing and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) practice specialties in rheumatology, interventional cardiology, acute and chronic heart failure, internal medicine, and primary care settings. Her graduate teaching experience spans over 13 years including esteemed nursing colleges as The University of Oklahoma and Texas Woman's University. Her clinical experience extends to a myriad of roles including Charge Nurse, ICU/CCU Manager, APRN practice, APRN Sub-Investigator on numerous cardiology and rheumatology implanted cardiac devices, pharmacotherapeutic Biologic/DMARD phase I-IV investigational studies. Dr. Quisenberry served as Graduate faculty at TWU's College of Nursing FNP program. Additionally, she served as Director of the TWU MSN Program from 2021-2023.

Professional Service: Dr. Quisenberry routinely serves as a national and local podium presentation speaker for many NP and nursing organizations including: American Association of Nurse Practitioners Association (AANP); Texas Nurse Practitioner (TNP) Association; Oklahoma Association of Nurse Practitioners (OANP); Oklahoma CNS pharmacology Update; National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty (NONPF).

Professional Scholarship: Dr. Quisenberry is a published author in various nursing journals on the specialty topics of her interest including the Psoriatic Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and DVT risk, Factitious Disorder (aka Munchausen Syndrome), and served as AANP's invited content expert speaker for 2023 AANP Webinar on the importance of early detection of inflammatory spondyloarthropathies (2023). Additionally, she served as faculty on the development of Inflammatory Spondyloarthropathy toolkit for Advanced Practice Providers.

Teaching: Dr. Quisenberry was awarded the 2020 Cass Award for Teaching Excellence. Completed the ACUE Certificate course on Effective Teaching and is experienced in teaching every course in the FNP Program at Texas Woman's University. Dr. Quisenberry holds Graduate Faculty status at Texas Woman's University.
